"Out of Africa" Quilt for Sale
The
"Out of Africa" quilt will be autioned to raise funds to support
a nurse at the Kaimosi Friends Mission Hospital in Kenya. The multi-colored
fabric in the quilt is African fabric donated by Eden Grace (FUM Field
Staff). Eden serves as field officer at FUM's Africa Ministries Office
in Kisumu, Kenya.
The quilt, a mission project of United Society of Friends Women, was made by women from five Iowa Friends meetings: Bangor Liberty, Hartland, Honey Creek-New Providence, LeGrand and Marshalltown First Friends.
The "Out of Africa" quilt will be auctioned on ebay in mid-September. The ten-day auction will end September 26 wtih the auction proceeds donated to the Adopt-a-Nurse program for Kaimosi Friends Mission Hospital.
